Membership Applications 2025 - join AMS
Health professionals who are interested in issues related to women approaching menopause and beyond are encouraged to join the Australasian Menopause Society (AMS). You can choose between a one-year or three-year membership, which will begin from the date of payment.
To apply, you will need to complete a form and make a payment. The AMS Board reviews applications monthly. If your application is approved, you will be notified and can immediately access AMS benefits. If your application is not approved, you will receive a refund. All information provided in this application will only be used for membership purposes.

- ability to advertise your practice through the ‘Find an AMS member’ site which attracts over 300,000 requests per year from patients looking for a menopause doctor.
access to resources from the International Menopause Society, the North American Menopause Society and the European and Andropause Society as part of our affiliate membership. Our monthly eChanges will alert you to new resources and webinars as they become available on these sites.
Each month, the AMS Board receives and reviews applications for Membership. Approved applicants are notified of the successful outcome of their application and provided with access to AMS benefits.

Full Membership
Eligibility for AMS Full Membership,
means you must:
- Be a medical practitioner; or
- Researcher or scientist engaged in research who is employed by an institution determined to be satisfactory by the Board; and
- Accept AMS’s Code of Ethics; and
- Have no ruling or history of action determined to be injurious or prejudicial to the objects or interests of AMS, its members, or anything which may bring AMS into disrepute; and
- Uphold the vision, mission and values of AMS; and
- Live in Australia (Australian subscribers)
Associate Membership
Eligibility for AMS Associate Membership,
means you must:
- Be a retired full member; or
- Retired medical practitioner; or
- Allied health professional; or
- Nurse
- Accept AMS’s Code of Ethics; and
- Have no ruling or history of action determined to be injurious or prejudicial to the objects or interests of AMS, its members, or anything which may bring AMS into disrepute; and
- Uphold the vision, mission and values of AMS
- Live in Australia (Australian subscribers)
Student Membership
Eligibility for AMS Student Membership,
means you must:
- Be enrolled as a full time undergraduate or postgraduate student in an accredited health professional course
- Accept AMS’s Code of Ethics; and
- Have no ruling or history of action determined to be injurious or prejudicial to the objects or interests of AMS, its members, or anything which may bring AMS into disrepute; and
- Uphold the vision, mission and values of AMS
Full Membership
Eligibility for AMS Full Membership,
means you must:
- Be a medical practitioner; or
