Menopause Videos from The Menopause Society

The Menopause Society (formerly the North American Menopause Society (NAMS)) presents its comprehensive video series for clinicians about important midlife health topics. All of the interviews in the series are hosted by NAMS Board of Trustees Member and Past-President Dr Marla Shapiro, a Canadian physician, who led this exciting initiative. Dr Shapiro is also the medical consultant for CTV News and on-air medical contributor to Canada AM.

Dr Bober discusses changes in sexual health during and after cancer. She reviews that sexual recovery after cancer is a process and an important part of a patient’s quality of life. She encourages healthcare professionals to discuss sexual concerns with their patients and direct them to the best resources available.

Dr Erin Michos, is associate professor of medicine within the Division of Cardiology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, with joint appointment in the Department of Epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She also is the director of women's cardiovascular health and associate director of preventive cardiology in the Johns Hopkins Ciccarone Center for the Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr Erin Michos discusses how the menopause transition influences cardiometabolic risk factors and the relationship between vasomotor symptoms and heart disease. She reviews that early onset of menopause in women before age 45 years is considered a risk factor.
