The 2019 AMS Annual General Meeting will take place at 3.50pm on Saturday 7 September 2019 at the Grand Chancellor Hotel Hobart.
In accordance with Article 61(1) of the AMS Constitution, four current Board Directors will retire following their two-year terms: Dr Susan Jenner (SA/NT representative), Dr Jennifer Rogers (WA representative), Dr Georgina Hale (QLD representative and Dr Janice Brown (NZ representative).
The following four (4) Board positions are to be filled for the period 2019 to the close of the AGM in 2021:
- one (1) South Australia/Northern Territory;
- one (1) Western Australia representative;
- one (1) Queensland representative; and
- one (1) New Zealand representative.
Nominations are invited from current AMS members for election to the AMS Board to take office at the close of the AGM.
Each year, Board Directors are expected to attend two face-to-face meetings and at least two other meetings by videoconference, as well as to participate on various sub-committees. A role description for AMS Board Directors is attached and can be found here.
Through working with AMS and its activities, Board Directors not only add to their knowledge and skills, but can also become more connected with the wider network of special interests in women’s health at midlife and menopause.
